Markhoff & Mittman’s series of live disability webcasts is back and New York disability lawyer Scott Daniels will cover the top three factors in every disability case.

A person’s medical condition is NOT the only thing that the Social Security Administration looks at when deciding whether a person is disabled or not. In fact, the government looks at a huge list of factors, but three factors constantly appear in every disability case.

If you can recongnize what these 3 factors are, you can then focus on what to emphasize in your application or at your hearing. Knowing what issues to overcome in your case could lead you to winning disability benefits.

To find out what the top 3 factors are in every disability case, tune into Markhoff & Mittman’s Live Disability Webcast by CLICKING HERE.

Is your child falling behind in school? Does your child suffer from a severe physical or psychological impairment? Is it affecting them on a daily basis?

Social Security has set aside funds for children who are functionally disabled through their Supplemental Security Income program. While these cases generally difficult to prove, if you know what issues to focus on, you will be one step closer to getting benefits for your child.

A Social Security Judge will look at several factors in deciding whether or not your child can be rendered disabled. But even before a Judge can even do this, the income requirements of the household must be met.

There are several important factors that a claimant must be aware of in preparation for his or her Social Security Disability hearing. Providing proper medical evidence and testifying truthfully and clearly are very important, but one factor is often overlooked when preparing for your disability hearing.

Prior to your hearing, you will be given notice to appear at a designated location so that you can testify as to why you are disabled and unable to work. On this day, you may be asked a series of questions as to your alleged disability, but even more importantly, you have the opportunity to review what the Social Security Administration has on file for your case.

If you have submitted specific medical evidence, it should be in Social Security’s file. And if it’s not, it is your responsibility to let the Judge know this. As you can see, a little thing like showing up early for your disability case can clear up any discrepancies with your official Social Security file.

Taking these steps can also lead to favorable disability decision.
