Has The Government Run Out Of Money?
The New York Times published a startling piece this past Wednesday detailing that for the first time, the Social Security Administration is paying out more money to recipeints than it’s bringing in through Social Security taxes. I think this notion that the Social Security Administration is running out of money is starting to become a reality.
The article sites rising unemployment rates and a downright horrific economy have led more and more individuals to start collecting their benefits. The government didn’t think this would happen until 2016, so it’s apparent that the Administration might be headed for insolvency.
