About Brian Mittman

Brian Mittman is the third generation managing partner of Markhoff & Mittman, a law firm helping injured workers and their families since 1933. His practice focuses on workers compensation claims, social security disability claims and other disability related matters. Brian strives to provide useful and relevant information to people in order to assist them in understanding their rights and the obstacles they face when dealing with the Insurance Industry and State and Federal Bureaucracies.

Brian adopted New York as his home State while attending the University of Rochester. He continued his education at Brooklyn Law School where he graduated with honors and began representing those in need. He and his wife are the parents of four and Brian is an avid ice hockey player (taking up the sport at the age of 32!). Brian is also the co-chair of the Workers Compensation Alliance, an Executive Committee member of the Injured Workers Bar Association, a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Secuirty Claims Representatives and a member of many other bar associations and groups.

Brian is also active in numerous charities including Pediatric Cancer Foundation (www.pcfweb.org – raising money for on-hands research of childhood cancer) and a Board of Director of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial (providing Scholarships for children of injured or deceased workers).
